Having a filter sleeve on each of your spa’s filter is not essential for the system to work, however it can be helpful in lessening the amount of time involved in your weekly filter clean.
Minerals and metals present in water sources can cause scale and corrosion to your spa’s working parts. Common metals found in water include copper and nickel, which are known to give spa water an unsightly tint as they oxidize within your spa’s water.
No, a Pre-filter is not required for spas that are to be filled with rainwater, however you will need to check the pH a little more frequently as the pH of rain water is lower than standard city tap water.
To ensure trouble free spa water maintenance Clear Choice Pre-filters should be replaced after 1900L of water filtering.
If you use your spa four times or more in a week please use the recommended dosage as shown on your Spa Drops bottle. Halve this dose if you use the spa less than four times. Do not dose if you do not use the spa.
Clear Choice Spa Drops works in the same temperature range as seen in the settings of your spa, however, our products work much more efficiently in warmer temperatures.
Our products are compatible with chlorine, bromine, hydrogen peroxide and lithium, and can be used alongside these products (if desired) as a way of lowering overall spa water maintenance, reducing chemical consumption and spa chemical by-products. Please be aware that Clear Choice is NOT compatible with biguanide-based chlorine free spa products.
If kept in a cool place and away from sunlight your Spa Drops will last between one and two years depending on the size of your spa. After this period the ingredients in Spa Drops can become inactive and should be disposed of.
We recommend your spa’s filtration system run for 4-6 hours a day to achieve optimum spa water quality.
Our natural spa product will contribute less wear and tear than chemical-based spa maintenance systems.
Yes, Clear Choice is compatible and safe to use with any of these alternative sanitizers.

A number of retail spa dealers and stores around Australia carry the Clear Choice system. However some retail spa dealers are unconvinced or simply do not wish to offer this type of alternative to spa chemicals. The typical pool and spa store applies a 100% mark up on spa chemicals and the majority of store profits come from these traditional chemical sales. Our chemical free spa products reduce store profits in this manner because our system replaces several products and the income that they generate. It is our firm believe that we do have the most cost-effective and natural total spa system on the market today. For Clear Choice stockists in Australia see our Stockists and Partners page
We advise turning down your spa’s temperature to the minimum setting and reducing the spa’s filtration time to 2 hours per day. Add one full week’s dose of Spa Drops, and ensure that your spa’s cover is securely locked down. Your spa will be ready to use upon your return no matter what length of time you are away.
Clear Choice recommends using 50 drops of our all-natural Spa Drops in 2 litres of warm water with a microfibre cloth to clean the inside and outside of your spa’s cover. For particularly dirty covers you may need to repeat this process a few times.
No, please retain the old spa water for the purpose of purging your spa’s internal system, regardless of condition.
Yes certainly! There is nothing toxic in our all-natural Spa Prep so start enjoying your spa straight away. You may experience excessive foaming during this cleansing period but this will dissipate before it’s time to empty your spa.
We recommend a water change every 6 months for spas under 1200 litres, and for larger spas we recommend every 9-12 months. Remember to add 60ml of Clear Choice Spa Prep for 1 day, run your spa’s jets for 1-2 hrs before emptying and ensure you have a new Pre-filter. Pre-filters should be disposed of after 1900 litres of water has passed through them. Remember Clear Choice is all natural, so why not give your plants and lawn a well earned drink with the water you drain from your spa? For directions on changing your water using Clear Choice see our article ‘Time for a Water Change?’

Clear Choice is NOT a spa water sanitiser and therefore approval by the AVMPA (Australia Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority) for use as a spa and pool water sanitiser has not been sought. Clear Choice is based on bioremediation principles and offers an alternative method of maintaining healthy spa water that does not rely on sanitisation.
